Prima tappa delle presentazioni del volume ATROCE.

Atroce è un cane da corsa.
Zoppo, cieco e sordo.
Allenato, ma zoppo.
Dal grande olfatto, ma cieco.
Ringhia, sul cancelletto di partenza, ma è sordo.
Atroce era già dato per perso.
Era già carcassa.
Si arrostiva al sole, contorto in una posa vividamente macabra.
Steso sulla nuda terra con la sua pettorina addosso.
Atroce è ricoperto di pellaccia dura, resuscita come un Lazzaro
E si rialza. Comincia a correre, non si capisce se corre o scappa.
Ma è fuori.
Atroce è un cane a prova di morso.

ATROCE raccoglie ,in parte, il lavoro di circa un anno di due disadattati:
James Kalinda e Centina e si evolve grazie al supporto di tre fotografi.
Oltre alla documentazione delle opere finite abbiamo cercato di approfondire anche il contesto
e il modus operandi in cui i disegni vengono sviluppati.

Atroce is a racing dog. Lame, blind and deaf. Trained yet lame. With a great sense of smell yet blind. He growls on the starting gate but he's deaf. Atroce was already considered lost. He was already a wreck. He was roasted by the sun, twisted in a vivid and macabre position. Laying on the naked ground with his bib on. Atroce is covered by hard fur, returning to life as a Lazarus. And he wakes up. Starts to run, you can't understand if he is racing or running away. But he is out.
ATROCIOUS: A collection of about a years worth of work by two self proclaimed misfits:
James Kalinda and Centina.
Thanks to the help of three photographers and all further documentation of finished works we have also tried to examine the context and modus operandi from which the designs are developed.
